Built-in Terminal Actions give trusted HearthGate SSH sessions a practical Mac admin palette. Connect with a full-access key, press / on an empty prompt, choose an action, fill any blanks, and review the completed command before you run it.

Use macOS Terminal, Windows PowerShell, a Linux shell, or another standard SSH client. There is nothing to install on the client side; the workflow lives on the Mac behind HearthGate.
Terminal + tunnel packages
For full-access keys, HearthGate can generate a package that opens an interactive shell while the protected Screen Sharing tunnel is alive. Close the shell and the tunnel closes too.
Files & folders
Move, copy, rename, create, list, open, archive, checksum, and inspect paths from the connected Mac.
Search
Find files by name, search text inside files, or open Spotlight-style searches without leaving the SSH session.

Terminal Actions are a helper surface, not an autopilot. HearthGate writes the selected command onto the prompt and waits. You decide whether to press Enter.
Rule of thumb: keep everyday screen-sharing keys restricted to VNC-only mode. Create a separate full-access key when someone truly needs terminal actions, SFTP, SCP, port forwarding, or a Terminal + tunnel package.
