Refund Policy

This policy explains how refunds are handled for codnamacs macOS applications and digital products.

Digital software purchases

codnamacs sells digital macOS software. Albert's Life includes a fully functional 7-day trial with no payment card required. HearthGate includes a 30-day full trial with no payment card required.

Because customers can try codnamacs apps before purchasing, and because digital software can be downloaded and licensed immediately after purchase, refunds are reviewed case by case.

When refunds may be approved

You may request a refund within 7 days of purchase if the app does not work as described and we cannot reasonably help resolve the issue.

Refunds may also be approved for duplicate purchases, accidental purchase of the wrong license type, or license access, activation, or download problems that we cannot reasonably resolve.

Please include your order email, license key if available, macOS version, device model, and a short description of the problem.

HearthGate Commercial Host purchases

HearthGate Commercial Host purchases follow the same 7-day review window. Because commercial licenses may be used on customer Macs, studio fleets, or production machines, refunds are normally approved only for duplicate purchases, wrong license type, license access problems, or reproducible product issues we cannot reasonably resolve.

Commercial refunds may be declined when HearthGate has already been used for completed customer work, when the issue is caused by external network setup such as router forwarding, DDNS, firewall, or VPN configuration, or when the product works as described.

When refunds may be declined

Refunds may be declined for purchases outside the refund window, license sharing, misuse, repeated refund requests, or cases where the app works as described after the free trial period.

Refunds may also be declined when a trial was available and the purchase was intentional, or when the problem depends on an unsupported environment or external network setup outside the app itself.

If a license is refunded, access to the app and related license activations may be disabled.

This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.

Payment provider handling

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. In some cases, refunds, fraud checks, disputes, and chargebacks may be handled directly by Lemon Squeezy under its own policies.
